Episode 84.5 — Minisode 84.5

Recommended Posts

You can never have enough Bruce Willis in your life. Take a look at the trailer for the 1994 erotic mystery thriller known as Color of Night to get a taste of what you’re in for on our next episode. Of course, it wouldn’t be a minisode without Paul going through your Corrections & Omissions for No Holds Barred and giving some much needed As to your Qs. Don’t forget to grab yourself a brand new HDTGM Daredevil T-shirt over at the Earwolf store and a copy of Paul’s comic book Aliens Vs. Parker now available at www.amazon.com!

YOU can help make Matt Walsh (UCB co-founder) & Brian Huskey (Childrens Hospital, Veep) finish their epic film of a revolutionary Hypnotherapist by going to https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-better-you

Little person racist. That means that you're either racist against little people or a little person who is also racist as hell. Then there's Li'l Grand Dragon, who is both.

Color of night next episode? What about Mr. Nanny?

I'm guessing it will be the next ep. Last year they put Timothy Green in between Anaconda and The Devil's Advocate which were two live shows recorded on the same night

Or the guy in In Bruges, who everyone thought was played by...Peter Dinklage!

Also this ep hasn't showed up in my podcast app yet and I just refreshed it. Anyone else have that problem or is it my app?

Welcome back Bruce Willis! Not since the days of Hudson Hawk, have we seen a movie that is even more ridiculous than the former, add to the fact that they both won Worst Picture at the Razzies! Plus is this first time we have either Brad Dourif or Lance Henriksen on to the show, because it's got to be.

Yeah they did this for a while with the live episodes where they would put a studio in between them. When they did the three shows at Bumbershoot, it took about two months for all three of those episodes to be released. It was only recently that they were releasing the live episodes one after the other.

There was an article on IMDB or Cinema Blend where they talked about In Bruge and the author actually wrote a couple times that Dinklage was in the movie and people were incredibly pissed because all it would take to confirm that information was to look at the cast list.

How about some HDTGM episodes with guest hosts?

I don't think I would want that. There are other bad movie podcasts, but the reason I love this one is because of Paul, June and Jason. I even feel like something is missing if one of them is not on an episode

I'm guessing the baby will be due in like a week so they are going to use it later to give themselves a break.

Also this is a good choice. I was hoping they'd do a terrible 90s erotic thriller like this, Jade or Sliver. Terrible movies all

Sliver was a big part of my formative years. Here in the UK, we always got an "Erotic Thriller" on a Friday night on Channel 5. Usually starring Shannon Tweed, but they must have shown Sliver every 6 weeks.

I have never heard of this... was this part of the craze that started from Basic Instinct and continued with Sliver?

Yeah this was definitely a spank bank movie for me as a kid, especially since it was technically a drama and not a straight porno. I mean the length of the sex scenes must have been the impetus for Tommy Wiseau to make his sex scenes so frequent and long in the Room.

Maybe I'm too in the wrestling bubble, but it seems weird to me that someone doesn't know who Sensational Sherri is (the girl in the cowgirl outfit from the shouty clip Paul played). *shrug*

I'm using an iPhone and it's still not on their podcast app. Sometimes Earwolf shows don't show up right away for me for some reason.

I'm all for the name Chev Chelios. But seriously, Angela is the only name for a girl/boy. Angela... such a lovely name. Why, I believe it means angel. Why yes, I'm sure it does!

Julia LOUISE Dreyfus. Really Paul?

He's not the only one! I don't remember if it was CBB, County, or Blastoff, but there was definitely another show I listened to this week where the host pronounced it that way. Maybe if she's famous for a few more decades, the right version will catch on.

Color of Night is even more ridiculous than Hudson Hawk! The music choices at the therapy group session is just so bizarre, leaving as to which of the patients would out-act the other, has odd editing choices, off-the-wall dialogue and of course a brief glimpse at Bruce Willis's penis. It's also one of the 100 Most Enjoyably Bad Movies on the Official Razzie Movie Guide.

Can I get a time stamp on that penis? Not for me...

Wow! This movie was amazing! The detective was maybe the best character in any movie I've ever seen! He should've won the Oscar, easily.
