Those expressions are priceless! ย EDIT: I was gonna share that show with my roommate, but she's seen it already. She is a better fan than I. I've avoided the show for so long because one of the most annoying and awful people I have ever met was obsessed with it (and actually appeared on the show once). I had a feeling it was something I would like because Chris is hilarious. He's great on Broad City, I thought he was hilarious in Don't Think Twice, and he is one of my two favorite guests on the Blank Check podcast from back when they were a Star Wars podcast. But you know how someone can be so terrible they ruin things you should love because they won't shut up about them? That's basically what happened here. ย Anyway, guess I like this show now because I came home and immediately watched all of the first season. It's amazing. 4 Share this post Link to post
Purenoize 6 Posted February 22, 2017 How much junk is in space. Well you could assume not a lot. But if you think like Paul and Adam, you would be very wrong. ย very. Cakebug Tranch 6873 Posted February 22, 2017 Okay, here's something that bugged me. When Rory McCann went to crash his car when we first meet him, the graphic said that his longest relationship with anyone was with his "rugby mouthguard", but then when he goes to put the mouthguard in his mouth, it's this: ย ย You see that long white thing hanging down at the front? That means it's an American football mouthguard, and that strap is designed to hook on to a helmet. No rugby player would ever be allowed to play with that strap hanging out of their mouth: back when i used to referee youth rugby I used to have to tell kids to cut that strap off their mouthguard if they wanted to play. I just don't get why they made such a stupid mistake - a rugby mouthguard fits entirely in the mouth - and why Rory McCann, as a genuine Irishman, didn't tell them that wasn't what rugby players wore. This film clearly didn't have the research budget Airborne had. 7 Share this post Link to post

Because they didn't put it in boiling water and mold it to their teeth, it never fit. Because they didn't fit, you always got that satisfying moment where you hit them, and their gumshield goes flying. ย You never want to be the guy whose gumshield is sent flying 4 Share this post Link to post
AntonioLopez 0 Posted February 23, 2017 I love Jason's theory that the bad guy who killed Xander Cage at the beginning of the second movie is really wearing Vin Diesel's face in Return of Xander Cage in an act of redemption. But I'd like to posit ANOTHER theory. What if the entirety of Return of Xander Cage is really just the last few moments of Xander Cage's life from the second film and Return of Xander Cage really is just the fever dream of a dying man a la Jacob's Ladder?! Cakebug Tranch 6873 Posted February 23, 2017 Why is the title stylised as 'xXx'? Is this to ensure people don't think it's XXX like porn, or XXXX like Queensland beer? Is the middle X supposed to represent something? If each X is one 'strike', why is the second one so much more prominent? Or is the second X the leader X and the other two Xs his teammate Xs? Was his second strike something really bad like murdering ducklings and then his third strike was stealing cable? Is this all just a ploy to involve the X-Games? And Xander is the first xXx agent, so what if his name had have been Greg? Would it be called gGg? 4 Share this post Link to post

Chainsaw Starring Nic Cage 95 Posted February 23, 2017 When I saw the trailer for this, my first thought was "...how is the extreme sport culture that was put forward in the first movie still relevant today?!" ย Knowing that Vin basically made the movie as an way to decompress and have fun after the death of Paul Walker kinda makes me go a little easier on the dumbness of this movie, but...man, it looks so dumb. The podcast did nothing to correct that with me. But it makes me more likely to watch it for the lulz. Share this post Link to post
Chainsaw Starring Nic Cage 95 Posted February 23, 2017 I'm always going to have a weird relationship with Vin Diesel. On the one hand, he seems like the weirdest macho d-bag who's created this persona for himself and can't help but NOT be Vin Diesel. ย On the other hand...the dude loves Dungeons And Dragons. Like, LOVES Dungeons And Dragons. And video games. And is, essentially, a giant geek who decided that he was just going to build his own mystique around himself. I...I don't know how to reach a rational response to the guy anymore. 2 Share this post Link to post

FisterRoboto 7499 Posted February 23, 2017 HUGE SIDE BAR WARNING!!! ย I'm thinking of going to the movies today... Which movie should I go and see? John Wick: Chapter 2 or Split? Both. ย Honestly, though, it depends on how often you go to the movies and what your personal preferences are. If you go every few weeks or so, I'd see Split because it's more likely to be out of theaters by the next time you have a chance to see it and it's pretty goddamn good (especially if you don't read a lot of movie news that might have ruined it for you). It's a pretty straightforward thriller that shows that Shyamalan might actually have some decent sensibilities left. ย But if you go less often or if you prefer an action movie over a thriller, I'd see JW2. We've already talked about it a lot this week in this thread, but it's a lot of fun, and I personally think it's better than the first (at least, once you get past the incredibly slow first act). 3 Share this post Link to post
IMAHUGEHDTGMFAN 1837 Posted February 23, 2017 Both. ย Thank You Fister Roboto... For the record I originally wanted to go see "The Lego Batman Movie" but the problem is that its only available dubbed in latin american spanish audio track for every showing in the entire country :S If I can't hear Heynong Man, Gob, George Michael, Alan and the rest of the cast Its a waste of money in my book. ย And the third choice is xXx: The Return of Xander Cage 3 Share this post Link to post

Lego Batman is a real delight, but the vocal performances are one of the major things I love in it. Zack Galifianakis is the only non-Hamill animated Joker I will ever allow now. Jenny Slate is no Tara Strong or Arleen Sorkin, but I love her so much that it 100% doesn't matter. I could go on, but then I'd just be listing literally every cast member (Ralph Fiennes!!!) and saying that I love them...and I think you get the idea already 1 Share this post Link to post
