Iā€™m so proud of chefy kevy for not taking the Wisconsin dells duckboat gig he was promised and carrying on to champion a podcast empire. He donā€™t give .05 a fuck and we love him for it. When will he start pushing the shit blame down the crap hill towards the next guy? I mean, heā€™s producing or staring in like 4 of the best podcasts available right now...

I know this is months late but Iā€™ve been catching up with HDTGM after months away looking after sick parents (violins). It is in reference to the question in the episode asked by all the regulars and guests as to why the hell Kate Beckinsale took this role (and others). This is what I heard... I was staying at a B&B in Yorkshire, England to attend my Godsonā€™s christening in 2004. I came down to breakfast (full English, of course) and sat opposite the only other guest at the only table in the little dining room. She was British just arrived from the US and so was I (I live in SF) so we got chatting. Turns out she was Kate Beckinsaleā€™s recently ex-assistant (due to visa issues, apparently) and her stories were much more interesting than mine. One of which was why Kate B was making the choices she was at the time (Underworld, Van Helsing, etc.). Turns out sheā€™d broken up with her husband, the Welsh National Treasure, Michael Sheen (Lucian the werewolf in Underworld) and had taken up with the director of Underworld, Len Wiseman (new husband as of May 2004). This was a shock to her system (and Sheenā€™s too, I bet) and she apparently resolved to get ā€˜dat assā€™ into as many pairs of tight leather/vinyl/spandex pants making ā€œhero landingsā€ before it no longer defied gravity (she was about 30 at the time). According to this person, this explained her action hero period which has extended through most of the Underworlds (to 2016), Total Recall (remake), etc. i thought the HDTGM crowd might appreciate the info...

I'm of the opinion the trailer looks super creepy. There's a cut floating around with the "Us" "I've got Five On It" mix and it seems way more fitting.

There was no guest in Charleston either. Maybe they just had an easier time managing the trip without having to worry about guests. It was still an incredibly fun time.

Corker confirmed. 300 corks. It was fun to hear Moshe's perspective on the Comic-Con episode. I wonder if they will release it in full! I related to Hayes' description of his tone of voice during the Mrs. Batman joke as "afraid of his own fear." I think that may be what I always sound like.

My boyfriend and i have been watching and listening to Stephen and Conan since the start of our relationship. This episode was deep, rich, and hilarious. Satisfaction like a scotch in a snowstorm, ir the feeling of finally coming home. I laughed. I cried. I felt it in my bones.
