  1. Hey everyone, I'm about to start a podcast based on the Livestream I do on youtube. Here's a link to the latest episode of the Livestream: https://youtu.be/fFkcThGwwCI It's going to be a comedy podcast first and foremost, so if you have any suggestions for what you'd like to hear on the podcast version, let me know. It's going to have channeled (improvised) music and all sortsa crazy shit. Cheers everyone! Hope it's okay!

    We're Still Trying...

Hey everyone we're back to try to get literally anyone to listen and give feedback. This podcast of ours is one of our normal improv comedy podcast: This podcast is a bit more obscure with one of the reoccuring characters we have, Mr. Fingernails:
  3. Hi forum. I've been trying to find the I4H episode where they have a Pamela Anderson skit (or some other rich, famous white girl)? I thought the person playing Pamela was Brian Huskey but I've had no luck so far going through the old episodes and re-listening to them. From what I remember of the bit Pamela Anderson does some manual labor work on a farm, talks about doing cocaine, and I want to say there was something about the flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz?? Whoever it was that played Pam Anderson did a hilarious voice impression and I remember laughing my ass off throughout the whole thing. Any help would be appreciated in identifying which episode this was from!!

    Two Black Eyes Podcast

Bandwagon time! Though it seems kind of gross to just pimp a new podcast on the boards, I'm going to do that right this second. There is no place for self worth when trying to get people to listen to you on the internet. So the Two Black Eyes Podcast is a recently launched improv comedy podcast where our group discusses a movie, classic or otherwise, and uses the resulting discussion as inspiration for comedy scenes. We have a backlog so it's not 2 episodes and ghost. Check it out? Or don't. http://www.twoblackeyespodcast.com http://feeds.feedbur...lackeyespodcast

    Improv Podcast Stigma?

Hey if you're on Earwolf you must like improv podcasts-- I have one that improvises character interviews off of real news headlines. This isn't a plug, I'm not gonna post the show name or anything, I just want some thoughts on promoting it. I feel like many people don't like improv, or at least think less of things described as improv than things described as comedy-- Do you think having improv in the name or description would hurt a podcast in growing listenership? Comedy Bang Bang and Holllywood Handbook, for example, are both obviously improv but neither one broadcasts that fact anywhere. They just say comedy. Improv4Humans and Spontaneanation obviously go the other way. Any thoughts?
  6. I recently started a weird dark humoured improv podcast called Podcast Hotel. It is set at the fictional Milton Motel Hotel Chain, each week (Tuesdays) host Ron Jamm interviews guests of the hotel who are awful people because it's an awful place. It can be a bit on the offensive side, a lot on the stupid side and just a weird time all around. If you're looking for something new please check us out. http://podcasthotel.weebly.com http://soundcloud.com/peter-reed-843052053 http://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/podcast-hotel/id1133704347 http://play.google.com/music/listen?u=0#/ps/Inpersc43yrrrt5gaqhi27taprm http://facebook.com/podcasthotel @@miltonmotel
  7. Hi Brett, Hi other engineers, Hi Earwolf, Hi Matt! I know this might not be the appropriate place for this topic, but it FEELS like it is the right place. I made a custom personal, job application VIDEO to apply to work in the Production at UCB LA's Digital Comedy Department, and I want to share it with y'all! https://youtu.be/Q3DqTCquVGI Who makes a video job application?? ME! A cool lady who wants to Produce, Design and Edit, or be a WORK STUDY INTERN for the UCB! And who posts their silly job video on a chat fourm? ME! A cool lady who knows that applying for anything online is like throwing your resume down a hole, and the only way to get anybody to look in that hole is to lead them to it.... SO LOOK IN MY HOLE, MATT BESSER!! And the rest of y'all chat forum users: Thanks for reading this! Please put in a good word for me at the UCB. I KNOW one of y'all mofos works at the UCB or takes classes there, so I would be much obliged if y'all could share my video with who ever. And LA listeners, please holler at me if YOU ever need a music video or a short produced or edited! I like to make things. Holler and thank you ! https://youtu.be/Q3DqTCquVGI

    What is Provrock?

Whar is "provrock"? I created a genre of live rock music to create a new experience on stage for the audience everytime. A song will be 2/3rds complete. The other 1/3 will be completely improvised. It can be comedy or serious, or just vocal notes (like skat). The only catch is it's music and words, it's not t just a jamband or jazz thing. There has to be a newly improv part that ht the audience hasnt heard verbatim before. Why does this need to exist? It's an artist proving ground. Much like a rap battle from back in the day. Except this is with rock. This is to challenge bands and artists to tbink on thier feet. It also shows that there's no corporate puppeteer pulling the artist's strings. They are completely free to express themselves. This is the new indie, new alternative. Get on board now. Here's a sample of my improv: The Miracle of Birth - Gittyhorse - http://youtu.be/2v1FJQxJ6es
  9. Quick question for Matt Besser, is there any chance for another Asssscat DVD? I really enjoy the one out now and the commentary track is such a great education in long-form, it was fantasitc. The book is of course great. The cool thing with the DVD is it's also a visual lesson. You see the comedy, laugh and enjoy it and then get the break down with the commentary. Seeing another DVD for entertainment purposes alone would be awesome! Maybe instead there could be a release of an Improv4Humans special on to DVD? Any thoughts on this, Matt? Or would anyone else on these forums love to see more Matt Besser driven improv on DVD? I realize making something like this costs money and all, but I'm curious if this is something that is thought about or a possibility. Thanks!
  10. I really like the episodes where Besser brings in people outside the UCB family. Todd Glass, recently Paul F. Tompkins It makes for interesting improv to have someone from a different comedy background, and it also follows a more traditional model of podcasting (to bring a guest into the realm of host and parameters of the show). I hope they continue to do shows like this, it really highlights the improvisors' adaptability with hilarious outcomes. I told Besser this in person when I met him in 2012 while touring with CBB. I suggested he should have Greg Proops on, because I thought it would be interesting to hear two old school comedy stoners to talk about improv from different perspectives, and share in the common thread that is podcast comedy. I know it's unlikely since Besser already unleashed his screed against the two types of improv confusion... but what do you think about having guests outside the improv community? would you listen to episodes that were more akin to a pre-existing UCB show like Snowpants?
  11. Fans of I4H! I am a long-time fan from the UK and I have proudly produced (independently and with zero budjet) a completely improvised movie. I honestly believe Besser and I4H has had a direct influence on me and my improv development from across the Atlantic and this is why I post this shameless promotion here. This movie was completely devised, organised and improvised at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013 in under a week! It really shows the strength of story improv can have and of course features some insanely loveable and creepily weird characters. Featuring comedians like Reginald D Hunter, Stephen K Amos and Mick Ferry and many more. The movie is about a lowly flyerer who just wants to get rid of his flyers! However, he mainly eats shit from every direction possible. It simultaneously celebrates and pokes fun at improv and is a laugh riot! The trailer, stills and more info are available at the following links. Facebook page: www.facebook.com/improvthemovie Twitter: @improvthemovie Trailer: If you are a fan of improv and want to see it flourish, please check it out, like it and spread the word! I obviously hope to get funding for future projects from this. I really feel like improv is sadly not popular enough in the UK and perhaps my American friends will appreciate it properly and help boost it over here. Many thanks humans! Talal K

  15. Hey! I was wondering if anyone could suggest places to learn improv in Portland. - Caleb
  16. I finally stumbled on this episode and loved the change in how you got the inspirations for the scenes in this one. The acoustic songs were great! Hope you guys revisit this again!!! -ken
  17. Richmond VA has a burgeoning comedy scene and The Richmond Comedy Coalition (RCC) is at the heart of it. The RCC puts on great improv comedy shows right now about 3 times a month and teaches 4 levels of improv classes that have grown tremendously in attendance Now we're trying to expand farther. We have reqruited a lot of great new performers and plan to open a new comedy theater (The Coalition Theater) in the arts district of Richmond VA that will house various performances weekly. I understand that most if not all of you reading this are far from Richmond VA but its a fantastic little city and this really can make it even better. WE WANT MORE FUN! We're currently heading a kickstarter campaign to get the money we need to furnish our new space. Heres the link. Coalition Theater Kickstarter We currently have 9 days to go and we're feeling a little short at just a little of half our goal pledged. We could really use the help of some big comedy fans. 5 bucks can go a long way (not as far as 10 bucks but whose counting? (I am...I can read your name after you donate right on kickstarter...the entire planet can... (donate 15 bucks))) love you; kissesXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Come out and support some local comedy! www.chokecomedyshow.com http://www.facebook.com/events/383729735030557/
  19. Hi everyone on the earwolf forums. I produce a podcast called The Chomps The Cat Food Call In Show. The host is a cat, she takes calls from food, celebrities and friends and talks to them about whatever is bothering them. The show is improvised with up and coming comedians and improvisers (most recently we had on Mike O'Keefe who in the last year has opened for Tig Nataro, Micheal Ian Black, The Sklars and Bo Burnham) The calls range from a pulled pork sandwich starting a kickstarter for his band to Al Pacino and Matthew Mcconaughey celebrating the five year release of their movie Two For The Money. Everyone and everything is a character, the humor is beyond absurd, and its a lot fun. So check it out, thanks guys. Chomps on Itunes
