  1. This movie is the ultimate how did this get made! No really, how can this movie call itself a sequel and use the same characters? How can this movie use porn actors, actually look like a porno film, but not be porn? How can this movie steal scenes and plot lines from the original? How! How! How! Believe it or not, this "homemade" movie is hilarious. If you don't watch it for the hot women (and not-so hot trannys), watch it for the dancing! Oh the dancing! The only thing worse than a low-budget film, is low-budget dancing. Say what you want about the original 1995 classic, but the dancing looked like dancing; it looked like a high budget Vegas show. The TV dance show in Showgirls 2 looks like it was filmed on a high school stage. And the dancing? A hot mess— it was posing while walking. The soundtrack is off-the-shelf royalty-free pieces by Kevin MacLeod, which is great for a web video at $5 a pop, but this movie misuses these clips at a mindless, willy nilly pace. The funny thing about Showgirls 2, is that it was produced, written, directed and stars Rene Riffel, who played Penny in the original Showgirls. Riffel is clearly a huge fan of her previous work, because she rips it off wholesale. Lines, themes and characters-types are all fair game for the poaching goes on here. This movie can only be defined as a parody of the first— so, it begs the question of how did this get made! How did Riffel marshal the resources to pull off this labor of love? Please, please get Riffel to be a guest on the show to talk about the original Showgirls and to explain her opus. Official movie website Watch it on Amazon Gawker review
  2. I'm recommending "Men in White," because of how many movies National Lampoon has produced, and this is possibly the worst. The actors in this movie have done some good work in their careers. Also, they only kept this on VHS. It's so bad that they did not reproduce it on DVD. Mild mannered Garbage Men by day, Men in white by night. But when I was younger, me and my brother laughed so much. Watching it now, is cringe worthy. What do you guys think?

    Superfast!

Not so much for itself, but it would make a good companion to the Fast&Furious movies. It is surprisingly funny for an X movie style parody.
  7. I know I've mentioned it here before, but it's been a while, so I'll do it again. I started a parody of the U2 podcast called "Me Talking Weird Al to You". The title says it all. Give it a listen won't you? We recently released our ALpocalypse episode. It's on iTunes and everywhere else. Thanks everybody. --Dakota http://dakotarimmer.podbean.com/

  9. I'm re-posting this because I accidentally posted it in the wrong forum prior. Sorry. So, I was really bummed out when UTU2TM? went on hiatus, and was wondering what other artists deserve a podcast dedicated to their craft. Why not Weird Al Yankovic? I was going to suggest that someone start one about the parody king. But then I decided just to do it myself. I've been listening to Al my entire life (27 years) and consider myself an expert, of sorts, on the man. It's called "Me Talking Weird Al to You" and it's meant to be a parody (get it?) of everyone's favorite U2 podcast. It's got most of the stuff you love about UTU2TM? and my co-host is even named Adam. The second episode dropped a few days ago and we'll have new eps every Monday. Also, much like the U2 podcast, it starts off a little rocky, but gets better with each ep. Please consider checking it out. It's free on iTunes, or at http://dakotarimmer.podbean.com/ for non-Apple users. Thanks buddy!

Ever since Damien came on the scene, I've had Lady Gaga's "Judas" in my head (not the worst earworm ever). Amazing as it is, I wanted to make it more epic. So in Latin dactylic hexameter (with too much elision, I know), I present: Dominae Gagae "Judas" Carmen Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. Juda, Judas, Juda, Judas, Juda, Gaga. Hic quandoque ad me veniat praesumque; lavabo crine pedes eius si mavelit ille. Remittam huic linguam quando per mentem mentiatur hic, postquam temporibus tribus et me tradiat ille. Hunc ego pervertam, regem diademate egentem. Hunc ego pervertam, regem diademate egentem. stulta sacer modo sum, sed enim tam asperrimus est is, ac in Juda depereo tamen, auditores. stulta sacer modo sum, sed enim tam asperrimus est is, ac in Juda depereo tamen, auditores. Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. Hunc ego pervertam, regem diademate egentem. Hunc ego pervertam, regem diademate egentem. stulta sacer modo sum, sed enim tam asperrimus est is, ac in Juda depereo tamen, auditores. stulta sacer modo sum, sed enim tam asperrimus est is, ac in Juda depereo tamen, auditores. Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. quam in testamento non paenitet ullum me umquam: notitiaeque meretrix, cunnus, scortum eiecto mentes, urbanis rationibus promissive tantum dico, da mi offensus basia, Judas, temporibusque aliis tu gesta mox prophylagma. Te volo amare, sed abstrahit a te aliquid me. Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. Eugae, vae miserae mihi, depereo iam Judam. Juda, Judas, Juda, Judas, Juda, Gaga.
  11. Hello! Huge fan, I've heard every episode. Here's my plug theme. Everything you hear was recorded 100% by me. I used absolutely NO samples so it's completely a parody.
