Lando 2019 Posted April 6, 2016 Â Agreed. In fact, I think JCVD may have even being played a little bit younger than that. I was thinking only a few years older than the other orphans, like maybe around 18 or 19. Basically, old enough to be a role model for the other boys (as sort of the de facto "grownup") , but naive enough to think a few thousand dollars would last them "forever and ever." Â I think you are right Cameron. I am honestly a bit surprised that there wasn't a scene where his age was clunkily laid out, like his aunt said "Now that you have turned 18, you are out on your own" 1 Share this post Link to post

Cameron H. 23786 Posted April 6, 2016 But now, that I think of it: if you are a shop owner during that time, would you care where the money comes from? Even if you know that the boy might have stolen it, it is still money. Â Yeah, I had a similar thought; however, due to the heavy-handed Dickensian overtones of the scene, I can't imagine the analogous scenario wherein Oliver Twist just rolls on up to a grocer with a fist full of flow and the shopkeeper doesn't immediately call Johnny Law to slap his thug ass in irons. Then again, I think the more likely outcome would be the shopkeeper would take his money and then drop a dime on him as soon as he peaced out. The single most important ingredient to running a successful criminal empire is to remain inconspicuous, and having a grubby, street urchin make it rain at the local bakery is hardly a good way to do that. Â Once again, I think this just adds further proof that if JCVD had not gotten his sorry rump dragooned by a bunch of gun running pirates, his inept leadership and callowness would have certainly seen all of those kids dead or in jail by year's end. 1 Share this post Link to post
LTL 154 Posted April 6, 2016 (my correction) Btw I fell aspleep like June so maybe I saw this scene differently.. but as for the ticker tape scene .. I didn't think she got financing I thought she saw over the wire the American champ Maxie Divine was coming; and with that knowledge she alerted Dobbs and Dubois. So then they have hatched a plan (off camera) to become his escorts ..valet.. to gain access, invite or map in. 1 Share this post Link to post

I even think she isn't the daughter of the boss of the paper. She has too much trouble asking for money and have her name spelled right. 1 Share this post Link to post
JoeVredevelt 13 Posted April 7, 2016 At the end of the movie we see that it was being read to us Princess Bride style. However, the film makers didn't take the time to write a half page of story. Pausing the movie on the open book reveals that it is an advertisement for luxury yachts. WTF 7 Share this post Link to post

FisterRoboto 7499 Posted April 7, 2016 rouge one trailer ... looks good to me  Dude, I just saw it...like 14 times. I'm so excited!  Greig Fraser is the DP, and this film just has the perfect look to it. That first shot of Ben Mendelsohn (Imperial dude in all white) is fucking awesome.  I also totally forgot that Donnie Yen and Forest Whitaker were in it, so I kind of freaked out when I saw them. 3 Share this post Link to post
Cameron H. 23786 Posted April 7, 2016 rouge one trailer ... looks good to me  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wji-BZ0oCwg  I was just telling someone that I had a feeling that I might enjoy Rogue One more than The Force Awakens. After seeing the trailer, I'm even more convinced of that.  And next week, the Doctor Strange trailer drops! I'm very interested in what that's going to look like. 2 Share this post Link to post

JoelSchlosberg 352 Posted April 7, 2016 Omg this is amazing.  THEY EVEN JUST STARTED REPEATING IT! I can't believe this.  Well, a presentation that's impressively fancy on first glance, but on second glance turning out to be mere gloss on repetitive, incongruous substance is The Quest in a nutshell.  What's scary is that this infamous commercial put in more effort into a page of text that could easily have been a generic "Lorem Ipsum" placeholder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHhVyC1MHmA It's too blurry to make out the text in the video, but here's a legible screengrab. This is what it says:     My stories  Little Red Riding Hood skipped happily down the path to Grandma's house. She was a couple minutes later than usually, but thought nothing of it. Grandma was too kindly a lady to care about a few minutes. Just then, she heard the sirens. An ambulance, followed by an animal control vehicle raced by her at top speed. "I wonder where they're going…" And she continued to skip down the path.  Alice wandered down the dirt path, wondering what she would find next. Her adventures so far were so exciting and different. There was the Mock Turtle, the Mad Hatter's tea party, and so many others. Excited about what she may come upon next, Alice began to skip happily down the path, humming a little tune to herself. "Oh, I hope I get to meet the White Rabbit again," Alice thought to herself as she skipped through the forest. "Although my adventures here had put me in grave danger, I still am curious as to what other interesting creatures live here in Wonderland. Maybe dragons, or unicorns." The more Alice thought about her possible adventures, the faster she skipped and the happier she hummed her song. But, all of a sudden, Alice stopped. There was her next adventure, right in front of her eyes. At the end of the path there were 2 men wearing masks that covered their nose and mouth. They stood at a tall gate. Alice approached the men. "Hello," said Alice. "Sorry, kid," said the taller man, "you can't leave Wonderland. This area is quarantined with Sars."  Quasimodo was a charming, well-spoken fellow, but unfortunately, misunderstood due to the way he looked. Quasimodo wanted to be like everybody else in Notre Dame. He wanted to be treated as an equal. Although a loner, one day he decided to come down and visit the town of Notre Dame. Unfortunately, once again, because of his not-so-charming appearance, people screamed in fright. A shot was fired and hit Quasimodo square in the chest. When he regained consciousness, he was in a hospital. "Doctor," Quasimodo started, "did the bullet do any damage?" "The gunshot appears to have caused only a minor flesh wound. It's that huge hump on your back that worries me. Sir, it's malignant." Share this post Link to post
jarrycanada 2483 Posted April 7, 2016 Â Really? XD That's hilarous! You're right. I pulled a shot: Â Good find, Timbosteron. He was planing on retiring. and buying a boat, called "The quest" Â That is strange that his book would be published. and not be a personal journal. Share this post Link to post
FisterRoboto 7499 Posted April 7, 2016 I must admit: I've never heard of this one. What is it? A Prequel-Spinoff? Look amazing! They're making three spin-offs that are supposed to tie into the new trilogy somehow. This one takes place between Eps 3 and 4, and there's speculation that it might give us some history on at least one character's backstory. (There are also Han Solo and Boba Fett spin-offs planned) Share this post Link to post
Amy the Gorilla 732 Posted April 7, 2016 I must admit: I've never heard of this one. What is it? A Prequel-Spinoff? Look amazing! Â According to IMDB: "Rebels set out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star." Â Â Â Also apparently Alan Tudyk is in it as well...which makes me immeasurably excited. Â Â Edit: ^^ what Fister Roboto said. Share this post Link to post
