I just read the wiki for this film and when I saw what it was I instantly knew it has to be covered by the show. I'll give them credit for completely covering up the twist and not revealing anything in the promotional material, but holy shit that is a level of insanity that needs to be covered. I'm not wondering how it got greenlit, I'm wondering how a slew of Oscar winners and nominees read this script and went, "yep, where do I sign up?"

I went to see based solely on @Elektra Boogaloo's post here and a Slate headline. I purposely went in without googling or knowing anything else about it. If you told me Matthew McConaughey was drunk the entire shoot, I wouldn't be surprised. This one is A Night In Heaven kind of crazy. I so hope the crew covers it!

Looking at this again, I can kinda understand why the actors in it signed up as it's written/directed by Steven Knight, who wrote such things as Eastern Promises, Dirty Pretty Things, Locke, and The Hundred Foot Journey, so there was a definite pedigree at the helm of this thing. Yet all that does not push past that twist which is so out of left field for Knight I have to assume he took acid while on a fever dream and then wrote this script.

Yeah Steven Knight also works on Peaky Blinders and Taboo. I guess they signed on before reading full script?

I feel quite honored! I haven't seen it myself but I was reading about it on Twitter and then Slate and I thought "this sounds amazing." I need to find a theater showing it.

Oh my God. Just read the wiki and I'm blown away. I'll admit, I had been interested in seeing the movie because I loved the cast and it looked like a decent mystery. Now though, I'm just gobsmacked.

I'm pretty sure everyone in the theatre was an HDTGM fan. They were just as blown away (and gleefully entertained) as I was.

A fishing-noir (!) with an M Knight level twist?

This "film", aka promotional video for mcconaughey's butt/supporters of preteen murder-porn, is the most WTF movie since whatever M. Knight genocide was allowed to be conceived.  Every day that passes without an episode devoted to it is as equal a travesty as whatever nationality portrayed by Gerard Butler is forced upon society.

Austin show was a blast! So impressed with how fast paul moves around the venue. I figured they edited from question to question to kill any dead space, but they don’t need to. Paul was downstairs one moment then up in the balcony in seconds! Got to appreciate the hustle.
