Ah well, this was made back in the 80s as far as I can tell. I can remember living in Asia around that time, it was amazing and hilarious to see so much North American "Intellectual Property" used blatantly, slyly and foolishly on so many advertisements and products. In Taiwan some of my favorites were "Falix The Cat" for Felix, and "Bateman" for Batman. It was very strange to see a 5 story building covered with paintings and even statues of "Bateman" all over the place. A few weeks before it had all been "Batman."

Also, the song name-checks Kathmandu as a place where one can find turbans and vindaloo, which is weird since it's the capitol of Nepal. You're more likely to find those things anywhere from Scottsdale, Arizona to Edinburgh, Scotland than in Nepal.
