I love having Eric Andre stopping by so many Earwolf podcasts this week. I don't like his show on Adult Swim, but he's a funny, interesting guy regardless. However - sorry dude - Lapkus STOLE THE SHOW! This had me dying for breath, I was laughing at how ridiculous this whole thing was! And also, all the times you kept calling "Todd" a she. The whispering resulting in the blood eyes and invisibility... this podcast had everything! It was amazing. Everyone was great, but man, her story was continually ridiculous and everyone kept rolling with it. This one needs to end up on the End of Year Best Of, for sure. LOVED IT!

Lapkus STOLE THE SHOW! This had me dying for breath, I was laughing at how ridiculous this whole thing was! And also, all the times you kept calling "Todd" a she. I think it's the first time Lapkus has been the only character guest as well, last time Todd was on with Adomian's Seymour Hoffman and it got into some seriously dark, disturbing territory. I liked the episode, but I felt like I needed a shower afterwards. This time Todd's story was allowed to developed without getting derailed so much and it was a lot lighter and sillier.

Also, Eric Andre rules. Saw his live show in Chicago last year. Standing room show. Comes in and moshes through the audience, gets on stage bashes a bunch of stuff, throws a plant in a pot into the audience and it shattered and dirt got everywhere, then got back on stage and poured mcdonalds fries on his head and then hurled a big mac into the audience. I got hit by a patty and got burger grease stain on it and secret sauce on my pants.

 

Also, one of the bits was they had a juggler on stage, and the music slowly faded into nazi marching music and it really seemed like the guy did not know that was going to happen. There also was supposed to be a michael jackson impersonator but I guess he figured out it was going to be some sort of a put on so he left.

After listening to multiple podcast appearances, I can honestly say that I am not a fan of Eric Andre. He always seems (to me) like he's trying way to hard. Not trying to troll or be "that guy"...just wanted to put that out there.

Hey, about that (I'm guessing)...

 

Do you take anything from performing with guys like Scott and Paul F. Tompkins?

I'm just inspired by those guys because they have been performing for a really long time and they elevate everyone around them. Some of the shows I've done with them have been in a bigger group or just a few people and you see everyone operate at the top of their game. The best part of all of these podcasts now is that people anywhere in the world are able to just listen in whenever and whenever they want and they are getting an amazing improv show, whether they are at work or in their car. In one of the forums, I saw this one girl who said she listens to comedy podcasts all day while she’s at work, and I just thought that was awesome; that while you are at a desk job that you hate (I'm assuming this girl hated her job) that at least you can entertain yourself with something you really enjoy.

I also listen to podcasts all day at my job. My boyfriend does, too. It's really the only good thing about working here. Our job is so tedious that we can tune it out for the most part and live in podcast land all day. If we weren't able to do that any more, we'd probably quit or kill ourselves. Bang Bang is our absolute favorite. Thanks for keeping us from committing suicide, guys!

 

Unfortunately, since everyone here is already wearing headphones for work, people don't take that as a sign not to talk to me. I often have to whip off my headphones, listen to a coworker attempt to make a joke (which is so painful after listening to pure gold) and then try to find my place in the podcast again. Sigh...
