I do love the Suicide House episodes, but I'm also completely open to doing something else, as long as it's funny. And that's where it kind of failed, for me. I normally love Paul Rust, but this character was just annoying, and little else. Dykeula was a nice idea, but it never really went anywhere.

 

Actually, I did like Monster Fuck, if only because of the languid, Frank Booth-like pronunciation of "fffffuuuck...", each and every time.

It's a very weird state when some people in the thread are praising Dykeula for being one of the best developed characs in a while, and others are complaining that she was under-developed.

 

I'm not calling out either side (although I'm personally on the side that enjoyed the charac) - it's just interesting.

Just listened for the second time: what a stellar episode! Last year's Suicide House was easily in my top three CBB's of all time, so it's not fair to compare, but this one had me guffawing like a fool. Dykeula was absolutely incredible, Rusty was predictably hilarious and Monster Fuck III had me rolling in the Rizzoli and aisles.

 

All things considered, best year of Bang Bang ever.

I listened to last year's Comedy Fang Fang this week after listening to this years and I think I liked last year's better because they had a 20 person Rap Battle.

They've done suicide house for 2 years in a row and I think it would be incredibly hard to top last years, so I was ok with the change. Dykula was amazing, though I couldn't help but feel like she would have been a good fit for the suicide house crew. Maybe one day she will meet Maximillion or Ghost Boy...

good god, "those monsters sucked and fucked" gets me every time. so pornographic. also the anger and disdain in the pronunciation of "fuck" is incredible.

 

also, jesus christ people, get it together. this episode was incredible, scott is clearly trying to innovate instead of resting on his laurels, and you people bitching about a lack of suicide house need to get over yourselves. without new shit, we wouldn't have any characters at all! without innovation, we wouldn't have a time bobby 1, much less a time bobby 2! i love brett gelman and i'd love to see him on the pcast sometime soon, but i think characters being phased out is not necessarily a bad thing! you can only get so much from the repetition of a formula (remember farts and pro 3? not a bad episode, in fact a good one, but not nearly as good as 1 or 2!)

 

as a sidenote, i love how much effort steven yeun is putting in and how much it's paying off. he was amazing in this ep (and also in filthy sexy teen$). he's acclimating very well to this admittedly surreal and insular atmosphere. props.

I'd been looking forward to another haunting trip to the wearwolf studio at Suicide House all year, but I have to say that this ep. is my fav. ep. of the whole seas.! Personally, I would have liked a return to suicide house, but that's mostly because we only get Buford and Messmore once a year. Of course, if they were to show up more often... And ghost boy. And it's at a summer camp. Do they need to do every Halloween? No. But once a year? Yes please (A Suicide House Christmas?)

 

I LOVED Dykula though. Particularly how human she is... relatively speaking. She doesn't play up the vampireness too much, but knows just when to use it.

 

I love Scott teasing Paul about his not-too-deep character. The character worked best when he wasn't saying his catchphrase. Interesting fact: Paul Rust was referencing the Creeps, a Charles Band movie that totally exists

Scott harping on with the questions about how much Stephen makes was hilarious too. I can't get enough of him yammering away socially inappropriately.

 

Speaking if inappropes though, it may be something to do with me being a damn foreigner and not being "with the programme", but I thought "dyke" almost always used as slur, so it took me off guard quite a few times. I liked the charac, just found the name distracting.
