CarloVanstiphout 34 Posted May 6, 2016 I've seen a bunch of Frogtown, and by extension Donald G. Jackson movies. The second one replaces Roddy Piper with Robert Z'Dar and think there's one that has porn star Jill Kelly in a leading role... (Max Hell Frog Warrior, might be the 3rd one). Â The first one is probably watchable but don't start exploring this guy's catalogue unless you really wanna jump down a wormhole of peyote-fueled garbage. Share this post Link to post
babyoilbandit 81 Posted May 6, 2016 I don't remember watching Hell Comes to Frogtown, but according to my imdb rating I hated it 4 Share this post Link to post
FisterRoboto 7499 Posted May 6, 2016 I wish everyone that called into the Paul Ask # would take note of AJ's call, because it was basically perfect. He clearly had worked on what he was going to say. If he didn't write everything down, he at least had a bullet point list of the high points. His message was a bit longer, but that's just because he needed to set things up. Overall, he was very concise and was probably one of the best call-ins we've had. Â I don't want to bring up the one that completely drove me up the wall because I realize that it takes a certain amount of nerve just to call in and have your voice played on the podcast. I haven't done it, so I'm really in no place to criticize, but I just wanted to point out how great I thought that dude did. 5 Share this post Link to post

Cameron H. 23786 Posted May 6, 2016 No MK Annihilation?! Paul's gonna get Powerbombed soon enough... Â Â I think you may want it too much. They may be afraid that if they do Annihilation that you'll have no reason to stick around. They're just keeping you on the line, my friend. Every listener counts. 5 Share this post Link to post
Ofcoursemyhorse 1043 Posted May 6, 2016 *my reaction to winning    Judging from the cover alone Hell comes to frogtown seems like a solid episode in the making. 5 Share this post Link to post

Amy the Gorilla 732 Posted May 6, 2016 One of these days I'll make a C&O that gets read on the show. Â Â Â Maybe one day Senpai will notice me. (In my case Senpai is Jason, but the joke still works in this case too.) 5 Share this post Link to post
FisterRoboto 7499 Posted May 6, 2016 One of these days I'll make a C&O that gets read on the show. Â Â Â Maybe one day Senpai will notice me. (In my case Senpai is Jason, but the joke still works in this case too.) Just don't try. All the ones Paul's ever read from mine have been ones that I thought were really stupid when I was writing them. And the ones where I was like, "OH SNAP I'M ONTO SOMETHING!" disappeared into the ether. Â So, just like in life, it doesn't pay to try. Â For anything. Â Ever. 6 Share this post Link to post

Same with me, to put it into perspective, go back to the "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Couseller" corrections and omissions, Paul read out an omission that was a reply to my omission that Brice and Judith were an approximation of Jesus Christ and Judas Escariot. and I thought "What the hell?! I brought that shit up!" 4 Share this post Link to post
brotherTodd 22 Posted May 6, 2016 Well after this minisode, I naturally want to see something called Superbabies, and not that Baby Genius garbage. 1 Share this post Link to post

Mine that he read for this minisode he was dropping out words, cutting out jokes, and making me sound like a real asshole. Which is accurate. But I don't need any help with that. 6 Share this post Link to post
Elektra Boogaloo 3371 Posted May 6, 2016 I don't know if I can watch this next movie. Can I just read Y THE LAST MAN again, please? 5 Share this post Link to post
Cameron H. 23786 Posted May 6, 2016 Â I'm with Fister. Mine that he read for this minisode he was dropping out words, cutting out jokes, and making me sound like a real asshole. Which is accurate. But I don't need any help with that. Â Yeah, when I was listening to it I was like, "ChunkStyle--what a fucking asshole!" Â But honestly, I think you all are being too harsh. Fortunately for me, he hasn't "egariously" butchered any of mine in a long time, but I still feel like it's a badge of honor for Paul to mutilate your posts. I've been re-listening to all the minis for nominees for the Howdy's (I don't feel right nominating any of my own) and I still cringe at his read of my LOL post. It was tragic. But, it's all in good fun. I still just think it's cool that he, Nate, or Marissa think any of my stupid bullshit is even worthy to be read. Â In regard to Fister's point about reading the posts that you don't think are very good, my favorite example of this was during the Zardoz 2 episode and my pseudo-philosophical meanderings on that movie. I remember writing that post simply because I was totally talking out of my ass. I hated that movie so much! And I was scrolling through all the comments and everyone seemed to be giving that movie so much weight and just assigning meaning to everything. So, in like ten minutes, I just farted out this post in response--basically making fun of all the mumbo-jumbo BS I was reading. Next thing I know, he's reading it to June, and they're saying something like, "Wow--I guess this movie really does make you think, doesn't it..." 8 Share this post Link to post

Could you imagine if he had done this with one of the posts you, me, or Taylor Anne made to make fun of all the Caramel hate a couple threads back? FisterRoboto 7499 Posted May 7, 2016 CORRECTION: During this minisode, Blake "The J is for Journalism" Harris said "pontificating" when he meant "prevaricating". #YaBurnt He also called George Lucas' first film "THX One-one-three-eight" instead of "eleven-thirty-eight." Â I guess, technically, they're both right, but I've never heard it called one-one-three-eight, and in the film, they call Robert Duvall "THX Eleven-Thirty-Eight." Â But then again, it's Lucas, who couldn't decide over three movies how he wanted a single character's name to be pronounced. 3 Share this post Link to post
