Toronto show - Governor Gabbi - not available in Canada?

Recommended Posts

I finally finished watching this movie And it is this worst movie I have ever seen, everything about this film is physically painfully the acting, the  characters, dialogue, acting, ADR, Music and directing are awful and it's not even so bad it's good its the worst movie they have ever covered on this show. I kept pausing the movie to make sure this movie going to turn into porn or I died by watching this trash and im in a jacobs ladder scenario where this film nevers ends im stuck watching, It better be the greatest live show ever because the movie was almost unwatchable.

Okay after now watching the live show I take back what I wrote originally about it feeling like a punishment of Canadian fans. The live show made enduring this movie actually worth it and it was amazing. 👍

Very much agreed! I want to get myself a Governor Buscemi shirt.

The Live show 100% made it worth it. There was a definite "connection" with the audience because of a shared hatred that we all had to watch it. I can't remember how often in PREVIOUS episodes it happened but several times here the audience just let out a chorus of "booooooo"s. People were SEETHING over this movie. I think if the movie had just been mediocre it would have been 'whatever'. The movie genuinely pissed everyone off and the hosts completely played off that.

I think knowing that's NOT in fact a student film and a "family project/series" is absolutely SHOCKING and is acceptable for being a punching bag.

Agreed. Absolutely.  I went into the show asking myself (and others around me) how they could possibly make this dire, dire movie funny...but they did it.  Completely turned me around on the experience of watching the movie and happy that I watched it for the podcast taping.  What an amazing show.  I think Governor Gabbi/y is going to be a HTDGM classic, and no doubt they're going to have to get Rogen on for an episode for another Niebauer film.  I wouldn't be surprised if Paul, June and Jason go through the entire Niebauer catalog in the next couple years.

I was at the Toronto show, and just saw that the t-shirt was released on Tee Public:

Why isn't it "Governor Buscemi," which was the idea from the live show?! And why doesn't it say the show details like the other live show t-shirts?

Sincerely,

Justin Trudeau

This movie is fascinating to me, it was so actively unfunny that it somehow became funny. I can't wait to hear the episode, I'm sure the gang will have A LOT to say about this atrocious, bonkers film.

Does anyone have a link to watch this movie? The one supplied in this thread doesn't work anymore :(

It's on Prime Video in the US.

The producers apparently decided to cash in, so it's not on Prime now, it's either $1.99 for the HD rental or $.99 for SD.

The live show made it all worth while! Did anyone else notice in the movie when Gabbi  mentioned what she was studying in school, It wasn’t culinary arts or pastry chef or even baking. She said she was a Bakery student. Studying how to run a bakery? Which then blows my mind because her whole business plan involved giving away baked goods for Free!  Even when money was being thrown at her?!
