I stumbled upon this movie while looking up corny 80's movies on Letterboxd and the poster was just too good to pass up. In short - this movie is completely bonkers. It's about two rich teenage sisters who are sent to a private school where the principal is dealing drugs, selling porn and being in general really weird. There is also a narrator who has an odd fascination with goats, a trip to a greek island without any explanation, and yeah this is Patricia Arquette's first ever role in a movie. I'm not even sure if this is a movie for teens at all, since there is so much nudity going on as well.

This movie hits the sweet spot of two simultaneous plots that kind of intertwine but could also be two separate movies. A horror film that isn't crazy scary, it has the bizarre feel a la Sleepaway Camp. It is fun and it is really really bad. Anyone else seen it?

I have a great idea. Please do an episode of the romantic comedies that have featured Jason in the cast. I know Jason may not like to cover movies he has been in, but he can provide great insight into the film, and the plot of "Sleeping with other People" is so outlandish it's ripe for lampooning. I can already sense this would be very funny. In a later episode after some time when the DVD release has passed an episode could be made of "How to be single" as well.

I think The Matrix is the perfect film to be discussed for inclusion into The Canon. It was a major influence on the movies of the 2000's, basically designing a new blueprint for how blockbuster action sequences would be played out in the future, and its cultural impact is undeniable. The main reason I think it deserves its own episode on The Canon, however, is because it is a movie that is highly entertaining but also highly flawed, and it could be easily argued that the impact it had on the film industry was largely negative. I also know that Devin Faraci is an extreme supporter of the Wachowskis and The Matrix, and I'm very curious to see where Amy Nicholson's opinion falls in comparison to Devin's. Basically, not only does The Matrix deserve to at least be considered for The Canon, I think it would make for a very entertaining episode of The Canon.

Starring Michelle Yeoh Recently watched this on Netflix. I just, have so little words. It was awesome and awesomely bad. Violent and glorious but so, so crappy. My mind exploded a few times watching this. And tbh, I gave it four stars. I definitely bought in wholeheartedly into this movie, and had a fun time watching it. Though I'm still very, very confused about what I watched. Loved it.

http://youtu.be/BN14PvdUZkw "This spring, the producers of 'The Real World' bring you the ultimate experiment in 'Reality film-making'". Yup, this is that reality show movie that was attempted back when reality shows were becoming a big thing on TV around the early 2000's. I just was reminded this existed when going back to listen to old eps of, "R U Talkin' U2 to Me?" (it's mentioned in the Joshua Tree episode briefly), and thought, "I bet this movie is terrible. HDTGM should look at it!" Also, it's gotta do with Spring Break, and the last time they did that, they did the classic "From Justin to Kelly" episode. It's got a 35% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's got a 2.7/10 on IMDB. But, I've never seen it personally. Can anyone vouch for this thing's quality? Or lack thereof?

Oh man; this is madness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4Z7SE2l1VA From IMDB: "Mad scientist brings Dracula, the Wolfman, the Mummy, and Frankenstein's Monster to life... but there's a problem and they end up three feet tall." It's sort of like Monster Squad, but with little people. That's all. From the weird stretch of time from the 80's-to-90's where people made movies like Garbage Pail Kids and Leprechaun. I just like that this WAS A MOVIE! Someone pitched, "Let's do monsters with dwarves!", and it got greenlit! You could not do that nowadays. That's bonkers!

Improv fans! Please have a look at this Improv movie!
TalalKarkouti posted a topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Fans of I4H! I am a long-time fan from the UK and I have proudly produced (independently and with zero budjet) a completely improvised movie. I honestly believe Besser and I4H has had a direct influence on me and my improv development from across the Atlantic and this is why I post this shameless promotion here. This movie was completely devised, organised and improvised at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013 in under a week! It really shows the strength of story improv can have and of course features some insanely loveable and creepily weird characters. Featuring comedians like Reginald D Hunter, Stephen K Amos and Mick Ferry and many more. The movie is about a lowly flyerer who just wants to get rid of his flyers! However, he mainly eats shit from every direction possible. It simultaneously celebrates and pokes fun at improv and is a laugh riot! The trailer, stills and more info are available at the following links. Facebook page: www.facebook.com/improvthemovie Twitter: @improvthemovie Trailer: If you are a fan of improv and want to see it flourish, please check it out, like it and spread the word! I obviously hope to get funding for future projects from this. I really feel like improv is sadly not popular enough in the UK and perhaps my American friends will appreciate it properly and help boost it over here. Many thanks humans! Talal K -
Okay let me start by saying fuck the talks about having an episode on Limitless, because this movie is 10 times as batshit insane. From using Oliver Stone-style cuts to random things like natural disasters and animals fucking to there being almost ZERO plot, this movie would be perfect for the show. I also don't know what they told Scarlet Johansen to do in order to prep for the role, but she comes off has having a mental disorder after ingesting the drug with her role in Her showing more emotional range. What's funnier is the fact this movie is sold on the idea of a person having access to 100% of their brain, but in reality humans DO use 100% of their brain, just not all at the same time. I assume if a person did use 100% of their brain all at once it would look something like this.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089930/ I swear, this is the worst, weirdest, cheapest POS ever, and it's FABULOUS. I can't even describe it, it's in Troll 2 territory in its bad movie nirvana. Watch! Love!

It really may be the worst movie I've ever seen. I only registered here to suggest it. I searched the forum and it seems no one else has mentioned it yet. Its a horrible 80's action mess staring Lorenzo Lamas. Everything is terrible, the acting, directing, the writing, all elements of production. Its not just a lame action flick, its a laughably awful production. Yet it managed to get TWO sequels. Its currently in full on YT so take a look. From IMDB : The Snake Eaters are an elite division of the Marines especially trained for search and destroy missions. This actioner chronicles the exploits of one of them who has become a cop. Known as a tough loner, he returns to find the band of backwoods bad-guys who killed his parents and abducted his sister. Its truly awful. Taglines: "To him, America is just another jungle." and "As dirty as Dirty Harry, as dangerous as Deliverance."

Just saw the trailer for this & all I could think was, "Coming soon to How Did This Get Made!" Based on a best seller? Rly? I though Olga Kurlyenko was like, you know... a successful actress & stuff. Trailer:

Bunraku - Josh Hartnett, Woody Harrelson, Ron Perlman, Demi Moore
kobthatreal posted a topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1181795/ This movie might be the worst movie I've ever seen. It's a highly but terribly stylized samurai, western, noir "film" set in some dystopian future where everything is made of colorful cardboard. It stars Josh Hartnett, Woody Harrelson, Ron Perlman, Demi Moore, The Androgynous Samurai Gackt, and a couple of other weirdos. This Movie is so weird, and so terrible, the HDTGM gang needs to destroy it. Don't let this kind of okay trailer fool you. Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Pnupt_UP6M -
This movie is the most terrifyingly, grotesque Italian movie ever to see the light of day. It's worse than the 10 minute rape scene in Irreversible and involves real animal deaths. I only mention it because the acting is so terrible.

i pray to god they discuss this movie hopefully at a live show next level bananas

A movie so bad Guillermo del Toro had to slap his name on it to give it some legitimacy. The only way I can understand how this movie received decent reviews is that it was released in January, a month where Hollywood dumps its trash and when you compare it to movies like Gangster Squad and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters it doesn't seem to stink that bad. This movie deserves a second look. Jessica Chastain as a punk rocker? A hilarious, poorly conceived, unscary CGI ghost woman. It exhausts every horror movie cliche until the film shifts tones completely in the third act and becomes utterly ridiculous.

Very odd movie from my childhood..they showed it on Cinemax or HBO all the time. Just saw it listed on Netflix. This is just one of those messed-up movies that doesn't know what it wants to be, and as a child, it always made me feel very uncomfortable.

This is obviously the best Jesus and Commander Yahweh fighting Sateen with birds while Sam Peckinpah performs abortions on Lance Henriksen's devil basketball baby in the hopes that Glenn Ford and Shelly Winters save the Earth from a pong playing, ice skating killer child who does gymnastics after shooting her mom. Totally avilable on You Tube in like 12 parts.

It's A Boy Girl Thing (2006) - ANOTHER SWAP MOVIE?!
GullisBenen posted a topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
The had some easy to make jokes and lots of boners, but seriously another swap movie? It was like Amanda Bynes trying to be a boy, but with two characters. There's not even much to say other than everyone in this high school is like 28 years old and this line: "As long as you don't stick your dick in my ass" - Nel Bedworth This line is speaking of exactly what you're thinking. I just kept thinking, why don't they just fuck already, but then realizing they'd just be looking at themselves and really, i'm sure they'd enjoyed it as i would. -
Hey if there's anyone that likes Analyze Phish that doesn't listen/hasn't listened yet to Who Charted?, you should know that on today's Two Charted, Howard Kremer revealed that he and Paul F. Tompkins recorded an "Analyze Fish," where they talked about Jaws (Howard's favorite movie), instead of Phish the band. Guess I need to finally see Jaws. (I know, I know.)

I just saw this trailer over the weekend and I thought this gem would make a great episode! It was actually made in the 80's but it was never released in America until now. It comes out next Tuesday and they are releasing it on not only dvd and bluray, but also VHS!!! Here's the trailer: what do you guys think?
