My mom said, "Oh, there's a great one you should do. It's called: (slowly and deliberately) 'Laughing in the Rain."

True fact: My mom has NOT seen Singin' in the Rain. I found out after Debbie Reynolds died and had to stop in my tracks as we were walking and straight up said, "Whaaaaaaaaat?"

My first time watching it was Gene Kelly's 100th birthday when TCM did a movie marathon. I watched that, An American in Paris, Cover Girl, Anchors Aweigh, On the Town, The Pirate, Black Hand, & The Three Muskateers.

 

That was a pretty awesome weekend actually lol.

Two things:

 

1. The fact that Cameron misspelled "Reynolds" in his post makes this even funnier to me.

2. Every now and then on DLM, Doug will talk about people recommending him playing a game where people have to figure out what movie his mom is talking about, and I'm really upset that it hasn't actually become an actual game yet.

Me too. When I told her that the people online(you all) liked her thoughts on Ted Neeley her basic reply was "I'm too old for people to listen to my thoughts on men." I actually believe she referred to herself as a fuddy-duddy rather than old.

 

Oh, and because I told her we talk about musicals she asked when were we going to talk about Showboat. I told her when it gets made into a movie and she was shocked it was never made into one.

 

Show Boat is definitely a movie.
