Went to the live show for this and it's definitely a great choice for the Halloween episode, especially considering that this film out of the F13 series is actually a satire of the series and slasher genre while still being  a slasher.

I need to back up June and Paul about cologne. Anyone wearing perfume and cologne can stop. I'd even argue people with scented deodorant, scented anything can stop. If you want to have something to cover up odors in your bathroom or near a litter box or something, that's cool. I don't want you bringing new scents outside your home.

I cannot express how much having something like The Jane Club could have helped my mother. My mom was a single mother and was also very dedicated to her career. She also had to deal with a nurodivergent child. On her own . I wonder what she could have achieved if she had  had a place like The Jane Club where she could go to work and take me along.  I remember when she was a in quality auditing for a bloodbanking company/ organization that she would bring me to work with her on the weekends and I would literally wonder the building going into any unlocked room I could find like an absolute feral menace. I realize now as an adult they 100% probably had security cameras and my mom 100% got yelled at. The only thing that makes me feel a bit sad about the Jane Club is from what I know you have to pay to be a member and it looks pretty pricey so it makes me think about mothers like my mom who would have benefited greatly from such a place but  could never have been able to afford it. Hopefully in the future they make scholarships or grants available for care givers who are less financially well off.

I like perfume but I like it when it's light and I think (hope?) only I can smell it. It's for me, not other people. I want it to be like other people would have to smell my neck to know. It's a big fear that I have that I'm putting on too much and other people are annoyed or their allergies are triggered.

That’s how I feel. I was going to say exactly, “It shouldn’t be smelled unless someone is kissing your neck.” It should be a more intimate thing. The problem is when people douse themselves. That’s not right.

I have the same fear. I had an eye exam earlier this year and the optometrist's assistant started sneezing while I was in the room. She told me it was a seasonal allergy unrelated to me, and I could just barely smell what I was wearing, but I immediately assumed she was lying to be nice/professional and I was triggering her allergies, and I felt like garbage the rest of the day.

Jason Lives is pretty good, although I don't know if I'd say it's the best of the series. I'm partial to 4, but I think I like the first four and then six and seven equally.

If people follow the walk through a single spray in the air, I don't think it's a big deal. But I also think perfumes/colognes generally don't smell good. I'd rather have the absence of odor than any manufactured smells.

I'm just really sensitive to perfumes in general and, other than hand soap which I can't find unscented anywhere, I don't have anything in my house with perfumes.

If you need a license to drive a car, than you should need one to aromatize!

Holy shit guys... I had that clue  VCR game.
During the Drop Dead Fred episode I remember noting that Jason had it all wrong with the Clue quote and I'm pretty sure someone on the board pointed it out, so I let it go. The Tim Curry Clue movie is one of my top 10 desert island favorites, so I knew Jason's quote was wrong and I figured he had just gotten it mixed up with Haunted Honeymoon or something.

Since there was a lot of love for Clue in our house, my mom bought my brothers and I the VCR game. I never played the game but I watched the dumb video a million times. I remember a lot of images but not many details, like Mr. Green having a business card that just said "Business" and when asked what kind of business he was in he would say something like "None of your business."

There was a even a sequel, which we also had.

Paul (and the comment submitter) pretty much cracked my brain open today because I had not given it one thought in about 30 years. Childhood memories UNLOCKED.

Yeah, I was pretty blown away when he said he didn’t like it. I thought Clue was pretty much universally beloved. I know I quote it all the time.

Speaking of Clue, did anyone else read the book series in the 90s? I used to love them, even if they were pretty silly.

I had no idea that Clue had such a vibrant and thriving extended universe. :P

I had the Clue board game as well. I vaguely remember that being an attempted trend in the 80s—incorporate your VCR into your board game! I vaguely remember there was one for Trivial Pursuit, too.

i think we played the interactive Clue game once or twice but I watched the video a bunch of times. Don’t remember a damn thing about it.

If they had a Marvel/Clue movie where they plotted to actually murder each other in an old mansion, I would totally get behind that! I’ve gotten pretty jaded with comic book films, but that would be a fun crossover. Just put your Avengers action figures on the Clue board to try it out!

I didn't have a Clue VCR game but I had a couple different ones like for the Gargoyles cartoon that was fricking fantastic. I think some companies have tried to do a similar thing with DVDs, but it never went anywhere.

Oh yeah, it's a whole thing, haha. There was also an SNES version of the board game that I played quite a lot since it had a single-player human option.

I loved playing Clue/Cluedo as a kid growing up even if I don't think I was playing it properly. I remember when Reverend Green went to being just Mr. Green. In my head canon he became jaded with the church and left the ministry.

On the subject of cologne and perfumes, I remember getting some cologne at a young age and being told that we taste we our noses as well as our tongues. So there are foods you don't like to eat so that stands to reason there are smells people don't like to smell. Just because something matches your likes and tastes doesn't mean it matches everybody's so try not to force your tastes on those around you. As a result I don't wear any cologne now and when it comes to shampoos, body washes, soaps, and deodorants I always go for the non-scented option if possible.

Jessica Chastain taught me in one of her instagram posts about a new way to properly perfume yourself where someone isn't doused and they still get a whiff - you spray the back of your neck ONLY and so when someone hugs you they get the smell. She did this while promoting Dark Phoenix and sprayed the back of her neck, and then when she met up with Sophie Turner they hugged and you can hear Sophie going, "Oh wow you smell nice!"

I go the opposite route - carrying durian and other foodstuffs around with me and randomly shove it into the mouths of strangers.  Sometimes immediately followed by performing the heimlich.

I don’t think you have to be completely scentless, just don’t be overpowering with it. I like what @taylorannephoto brought up, where the scent is almost hidden. I’m also of  @Elektra Boogaloo’s mind in that the scent is for me more than anything - especially when it comes to shampoos and body washes. No one is going to smell my honey scented body wash but me, you know?

As far as colognes and perfumes go, I personally don’t wear any (sometimes aftershave), but a subtle scent can be very attractive in moderation.

I'm definitely a perfume kinda girl. I'm also bougie with my perfume choices cause my favorite smell is Givenchy Dahlia Divin lololol.

Does anyone else think a lot of perfumes smell the same? Like they used to have samples in magazines and it was always nasty and I think they smell like that? I don't like it. I like something fruity or whatever or maybe maybe floral. Something that smells like a thing from nature? Not like, "oh you smell like chemicals"?

Anyway, I read something yesterday that bummed me out and I guess I will share with you guys to bum you out to (question mark?). I read something about John Singleton, who died, obviously. And it talked about how he was the youngest person ever nominated for best director for his very first movie (Boyz in the Hood) and then it mentioned his final film was "Abduction".

And I was like his first movie got him nominated for an Oscar and his final film was a How Did This Get Made? movie with Taylor Lautner? That's the worst career trajectory I have ever heard of.

For sure this. I think virtually all perfumes and colognes smell the same or 95% the same. Unless they have a very specific, singular scent they are replicating (say vanilla or something), they might as well all be the same to me. I assume I just don't have a sensitive smell palette (idk what this is called for your nose).

Also, why can't the be perfume that smells like freshly baked bread? If you want to get my attention, that will do it. Everyone likes bakeries.

Between dying at 51 and ending on a How Did This Get Made? level movie, I'd imagine dying at 51 would probably bum John Singleton out more.

In terms of worse career trajectories, IDK, Ed Wood started with trash b-movies and ended with trash softcore porn. That started low and ended low. At least Singleton can point to a section of his career where he was (comparatively speaking) high. I guess it depends how you look at it.
