Howard said it was Alice Wetterlund ahh-ing and yeah-ing over the tweet chart theme, but I thought I remembered that he asked Mary Elizabeth Ellis to do it in her episode?

 

Anyway, I love all the guest hosts. It makes me feel like I'm betraying Kulap but Emily, Natasha and April are just great.

I can't tell if the NYC hate is real or a work. Complaining about biking lanes in the city? Isn't that something Howard would ship 100%? He's the guy who was suggesting having no SUV's allowed in LA or whatever.

See, what Natasha needs to do with her HDTV is set the refresh rate to 60hz from the factory settings of 120hz or higher. Those faster refresh rates make everything look like it initially aired on the BBC in the late 1980s.

 

Another good episode - always nice to hear Natasha's laugh, once dubbed by the late Greg Giraldo as "the vuvuzela of comedy."

Natasha's TV probably has Tru-Motion turned on by default so it's frame-blending and makes movies look like shitty TV. Turn it off and your TV will suck at least 15% less.

I was one of Kulap's biggest fans back when this started, but I must admit that the guest host shows lately have me wishing Howard worked with a revolving door of female guest hosts. Kulap pushes the show along far too quickly nowadays to the point of it seeming hurried all the time. These guest host eps call back old eps of Whooch when Howard was able to just talk with the guests, without being hurried through the charts. For a few months now I've been commenting on how short and canned the shows seem, but now over the past month I've been absolutely loving Whooch and Twooch again. It just seems like Ku's head isn't in it anymore. Here's to more hilarious and "deeper" Whooch eps in the future.

Yep, I said the same thing in last week's thread. This is the third straight week where he's said it! I hope Ku sets the record straight when she gets back.

 

Anyway, really fun episode. Jeff is always great on I4H, and this is the only other exposure I've had to him; it's nice to go a bit off the beaten path of frequent podcast guests sometimes. Natasha's sense of humor is a perfect fit on Whooch.

I agree with this a little. Sometimes Kulap's "energy" gets to me and I'll switch to another podcast before getting back to Who'ch'. I know Earwolf's a busy and place and there's a schedule to keep and all, but slowing it down a notch would go a long way to making the show more enjoyable. Which is why I liked this episode so much. Natasha's more laid-back style is a nice complement to Wie Wie.

Hopefully it's just that Ku is pretty darn busy right now what with moving/buying a new place/making a documentary/reconnecting with her estranged family. And NOT that she's no longer into the show. Which I doubt, you can tell how much she enjoy's wiewie's weekly company.

Yeah, it's the motion interpolation that makes everything on brand new HDTVs look like soap operas or home video garbage.
