Hah, that definitely occurred to me too. So his "happy ending" is that he gets to keep working at this company that has been trying to undermine him and screw him behind his back. Congratulations? I guess you could argue they'll leave him alone now since he's shown that he can play the game just as well.

Another thing I found odd is that Meredith called Tom's wife to tell her the next morning's meeting is at 8:30, but then we learn the meeting is actually at 7:30 and Tom got screwed. But realistically, what kind of attendance do you expect for a 7:30 AM meeting that you changed fairly late the night before (seems like it's around 9 or 10 PM when she calls)? And it's not just executives (who might all be in on the plan), it's a meeting where the technical guys have to be set up and ready to demonstrate a product! This seems like a bad move that is more likely to result in Meredith's meeting only having half the normal attendance at best, not just Tom being late.

According to Wikipedia, it was a three part web series that they combined to make a feature length movie. It was released in theaters, but as I said on Letterboxd, it only made something like $1750 (seriously). It is currently the second lowest grossing film in history. I would recommend it for HDTGM, but if they’re going to do a vampire Musical, then I want them to do Rockula.

I’m pretty convinced this wasn’t a scripted line and rather something Miller added himself. I happened to be watching Bordello of Blood recently and he delivers a very similar line. After a quick Google search I found countless references to Prozac in his stand-up and books. It was the 90’s... I’m sure he thought it was a very topical and didn’t mind retreading the same material.

They should be available everywhere. I'm honestly torn between wanting to use the hedgehog for its intended purpose and ONLY using hedgehogs from now on.

I worry about the work ethic of somebody who is the head of a department that also just shows up just on time for a major cross department meeting as well. That is some classic tie-less boss behaviour.

Thanks to everyone who shared and everyone who supported. Also, I have to say @DanEngler,that was a fucking awesome Spike Jonze video! Since I’m a big fan of his, thought I’d add to the lighter side of things again and create a mini playlist. Here’s Bjork dancing:

I really hope this is site wide and a bunch of people never see this thread. They'll always wonder "why is hedgehog a reaction?"

My favourite podcasts are the ones where people are genuinely enjoying themselves, which is why this has become such a favourite of mine. It's not just three amazingly funny and talented people but it's the friendship that's present in every ep. No pressure to do characters or respond to interview questions. Just friends having fun together and talking about life. It sounds like something that shouldn't be so entertaining and yet, it's absolutely fantastic. Thanks for putting this out into the world!

I’ve heard of an open mic, but an open casket?!

My immediate reaction to this was a big groan. DC seems like it's maybe figuring itself out with Wonder Woman and Shazam. I did think Margot Robbie was good as Harley Quinn. But I'm not huge on Harley Quinn in general and DC still has all the baggage of being centered around gritty bad movies, losing their cast and general management. So, until they get a few more solid movies under their belts, I'm still treating their work with mild disdain until proven wrong.

This comment deserves a hedgehog! (I think I might be overusing the hedgehog)

Ultimately, I don’t think Moore and Sutherland we’re too off base in trying to get Douglas fires for incompetency. No, the production issues weren’t the result of any direct action of his, but apparently his ex-girlfriend had been busy sabotaging his work in Malaysia for months without him noticing a goddamn thing. He’s the Manufacturing Department Head, for fuck’s sake, and under his purview, drastic changes were being implemented by a freaking outsider right under his stupid nose. I may not know much about the manufacturing of CD-ROMs, but I know ineptitude when I see it. It shouldn’t take a sexual harassment charge to get you to figure out just how badly you’re fucking it up at work.
