Speaking of babies, I forgot to mention in the All About Eve thread that I laughed aloud every time Bill called Eve "Junior". I don't think Paul and Amy came to an agreement on why Phyllis used a handkerchief to put the gun under the cushion. I think she called Nino after Neff said he was en route, and their plan was that Nino would arrive shortly after Neff (he did), sit in the predetermined spot (note how she only gets out of that seat to shoot Neff), and pull the gun at an opportune moment. She thus ensures her fingerprints won't be on the gun when another man is manipulated into doing her dirty work and taking the fall. It's an odd detail for the filmmakers to focus on after being so cavalier about Neff's fingerprints on the husband's crutches.

I haven't seen this movie in YEARS ! I had the vhs and was OBSESSED. I was a cat lady even as a wee lass. I haven't watched the movie for this week yet but I do remember loving Perfect Isn't Easy because I was also a dramatic bitch as a child. I still think it's one of the best underrated songs of Disney. I would post photos of my two kitty cats Godric and his son Albus but Earwolf sucks and won't let me. Every picture I have is too big apparently.Have a link to my cloud instead: https://www.amazon.com/photos/share/Tf28u1Tzc8CydjfNk1a8JMmSFcqBhAvGUV88uaimtgU Godric is the black and white and Albus is orange and white. They are purebred Turkish Vans and I got them nearly a year and a half ago because (I'm not making this up) Godric was getting beat up by the other cats at the cattery, mostly by his brother Ron Weasely.

I think my favorite part was when Neff needed to cool off so he bowled a couple frames...and grabbed a beer a Drive-In restaurant. Oh, 1944, you so crazy.

Someone needs to photoshop a pained wolf looking like a genetic experiment gone wrong made out of human ears with a speech bubble saying, "please kill me..." I'm just over here slinging tent. When you guys want me to stop just ask.

I'm with Matt. I had no idea Gene Simmons was Carruthers. I thought Carruthers looked weird but it never once occurred to me he was Ragnar. That reveal blew my mind but made so much sense. I, like Paul thought, George Lazenby and John Stamos were connected with some psychic/physical connection. One of my only notes was something of the was some Corsican brothers or Xamot and Tomax type relationship.

Hilarious episode. My favorite part of the movie had to be Cliff. He is an absolute first ballot entry into the Roommate Hall of Fame. There is a good chance that Cliff and Lance never met before getting randomly paired up for their dorm assignment. Then a year or two later absolutely no questions asked he is a killing machine against impossible odds to help out Lance. Normally you are just happy if you have a roommate that keeps things relatively clean. Cliff puts everyone to shame. I don't know if the movie made this explicitly clear but Ragnar killed Carruthers and then assumed his identity, right? It makes me think the real Carruthers must not have had a great working relationship with his coworkers if no one in this organization ever batted an eye at his replacement. Also he must have had no friends or family to notice that he had gone missing. That unseen character is really bumming me out.

They talk up Stamos training in gymnastics for this film but realistically there's very little he could have learned in a few months. Anything more complicated than a flip on the trampoline was shot from far away or with his back to the camera

Watching Ragnar's crazy crew of punks (especially Pyramid), I couldn't help but think of Bobcat Goldthwaite's gang of similar psychopaths in Police Academy 2, which came out the year before. One would think perhaps it was the influence of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, but that came out the same year as Police Academy 2. Weird Science (also 1985 like Police Academy 2 and Beyond Thunderdome) also featured insane marauders. So, what the heck was happening in the mid-'80s that gangs of post-apocalyptic mutants were a big element in all these films?

I would definitely see June's gymnastics movie. I think she might enjoy American Anthem? The scene where two of Velvet's henchmen are beating Stargrove up in the kitchen and they force feed him the cherry tomato, I think you can see Stamos disassociate from his body.

What was everyone’s favorite Noir line? Mine was: “They’ll hang you just as sure as ten dimes will buy you a dollar, and I don’t want you to hang, baby.”

I'm not sure they talked about this in the episode, but I particularly love the subtleties in the final scene. Neff can't light his own cigarette, so Keyes does it for him (using the same trick Neff always used to light matches for him), then Neff says "I love you too," only not in the sarcastic way he did earlier. A small gesture of pure kindness/mercy, followed by maybe the most sincere thing Neff ever says to anyone else. Some folks on the Facebook group were annoyed about all the times Neff says "Baby," but to me this pretty clearly indicates how shallow he is and is wholly intentional. He repeats a supposed term of endearment so often that it becomes meaningless. Tells you his motivation is not really love, it's massaging his own ego.

Just browsed through my whole collection for ideas. Inception and Birdman are my only answers that fit the “post-2007” requirement. The other one that struck me was Back to the Future. For removal, I’ll probably makes some enemies for this, but I’d remove Chinatown and 2001 (although i’ll confess to only having seen the latter on the small screen, something I hope to change one day) for being overrated and Sixth Sense for not belonging on the list at all.

@Sam. please don't fall into the trap of feeling like you need to talk more to prove you're better than the other engineers. This is a ploy Sean and Hayes use to make sure they're the only ones that come off as likable. You're already the only good one left.

Except that this movie is intentionally insane, what exactly would there be for them to talk about? It doesnt work if everything thats weird about a movie is put there with a purpose, or should they cover the Airplane! movies next? The reason Face/Off and Con Air worked so well is because those movie didnt intend for them to turn out as hilariously as they did. Ed Woods movies are hard to do, just because although they are next level bad, you could screen most 50's movies to the gang and i'm sure they'd have an equal reaction. It was just a different era. Its like the Honeymooners, extremely popular for its time. Main characters catch phrase is threatening to punch his wife in the face.
