Oooh ok. I didn't realize I was so close to being up! My brain has been in easygoing Rom-Com mode this weekend, since I watched two Netflix ones (Set It Up and To All The Boys I Loved Before - both are very cute) and made plans to go see Crazy Rich Asians later this week. So the first one that pops in my head is in a similar vein.

Sara, do you mind swapping with Max this week? If that’s okay...

Also, college or boarding school, I wasn't even allowed a hot plate in the residents hall. Someone apparently missed freshman orientation if he thinks it's ok to experiment with lasers, accelerant, and whatever other crazy shit he had.

I'm pretty excited to see this. I've always meant to watch it and just never got around to it. This will finally be my motivation.

I stumbled across the Earwolf page on Reddit somehow when I was searching for something on the Google. (Is it weird that I just found out about Reddit? What a shitshow.) Someone posted about the 200th episode coming up and it also made me wonder if Paul will have something big. Maybe something highly demanded? Maybe an all stars of all stars cast? (St. Clair, Nick Kroll and Mary Holland please!) Maybe Jason finally joins Twitter? Anyone hoping for a big celebration? Because CBB usually gets something special for the milestone episodes, I'm hoping this one will be epic, too.

That's what a femme fatale will do to you sometimes. Who hasn't been there?

Episode 100 was Junior which doesn't seem that big but it was the original poster art for the show.

I just assumed it was poisoned, because that seemed to be the least-stupid explanation.

P.S. I'm on vacation and in full Murphy's law mode... When I try to enter this forum from the Italian wifi I get a "you are banned" message I had to go to a neighboring town just to write this... So if you don't mind I want swap places to have my M.M. pick the first week of September so I can fully participate Thanks you so much in advance

I saw this not knowing that it was based on Oliver Twist and to me every plot point is rushed... I wanted more songs and did not find the inconsistent animation bothersome just wandering why the producers of the movie decided that was the way to go?

You might need to stop for a while later on, so that Hayes can read our popcorn gallery questions more easily. But it's fine to continue after that

I'm not sure any of them will have time to plan something big for that milestone, cause they're all doing a million things lol. I just saw via instagram tho that The Meg episode has some amaaazing All-Stars joining because June couldn't make that night.

The following year he was in this movie Wanted: Dead or Alive with Rutger Hauer in which he plays terrorist Malak Al "Rahim" who is being tracked down by CIA agent Nick "Randall". Both kinda close to Ram-K and Ramsay. I think you may be on to something.

Ooh! I haven’t seen this in awhile! I’m looking forward to revisiting it

I know we've already talked about the Road Warrior inspired punk baddies of the film, but the other 80s film this was reminding me of was Dragnet. Specifically how the punk bad guys seem to party down in an abandoned amphitheater. Then I looked it up and Dragnet came out the following year, so was Dragnet ripping off this movie?

Speaking of the dumb bug-gum, I would just like to point out that having a reason to plant a bug is just as important as where you plant it. After leaving Ragnar, Lance rushes outside, ducks behind a dumpster, pulls out a receiver of some sort and hopes to hear...what? What was he expecting to happen? As near as I could tell, there was no one even left at The Incinerator. Who did he think Ragnar was going to speak with? Did he just assume that Ragnar would hold criminal court in her dressing room? Was he just hoping that as soon as he left the room Ragnar would indulge herself in a nice, long, self-incriminating soliloquy?

I think the last one they did was Beautiful Creatures, but yeah, for all intents and purposes, I think it’s mostly live now. From what I understand, and I can’t remember where I heard/read this so please take it with a grain of salt, their schedules are often too busy to get everyone in the studio. It’s easier for them to schedule one night and knock out two episodes (essentially a month’s worth of HDTGM) than try to get together every two weeks for only one episode. Of course, they could always just record a few episodes while in-studio, but I think they like the energy of a live audience. I get that a lot of people prefer studio eps, but I think it’s a natural consequence of their rising careers. I’m happy that they’re doing well. I think what amazes me is just how reliable they are. There was a time around Monkey Shines where their episodes would be WEEKS late. Granted, I think that was around the time June and Paul had their first child, but since that time, they’ve been remarkably on schedule. The fact that you can count on a new episode dropping every two weeks is absolutely amazing!

I agree that this is unusually respectful, given that we are in the era of Short Round and Long Duck Dong. But I will also point out that when you boil this movie down, it's still about some extremely skilled and competent non-white characters (Cliff and Danja) who get shunted to the side so that the clueless, inexperienced young white guy is able to inexplicably save the day.

I was out for Korean BBQ last night with a group of friends of which three are 6 months to 3 months pregnant and before we ordered there was a long conversation over what they can and can not eat and how well the meat they eat should be cooked. It just gave me horrible flashbacks of this movie.
