I'm not gonna lie. I enjoyed this one. It was stupid and really self-indulgent but it was a good-bad movie for me all the way. Oh by the way, hi. I've been listening for a long time but just started posting here now. These guys inspired me to start a bad movie podcast of my own (aka my username, link's in my profile) so I'm a huge fan!

And it would be unfair to my other cat to not post a picture of her as well. Here is Kitty Pryde

Pitches love podcasts. Post your best ideas here, maybe if we all put our minds together we can come up with something great. PITCHES If you have a podcast pitch, send it to pitches@midroll.com So if I come up with a great pitch does that mean I'm magically granted a podcast or does that mean Auck Scotterman clones himself again and makes a podcast with my idea? Suspicious that they don't really say. I want to do a podcast for Hollywood Celebrities about what it's like to be a regular office shlub who works a 9-5:30 job with only a 30 minute lunch break and teach them how they can get into the business if they're interested. I'm pretty sure Maria Bamford was an office admin back in the day. I wonder if she was honing her comedic craft the whole time.

I've seen this multiple times over the years, and I was still ready to cry during that opening song. Also because it's personalized and Huey Lewis is singing directly TO Oliver. I ended up watching this twice over the weekend (because my roommate wanted to see it too). I agree that the animation seems inconsistent. Especially during Georgette's song, where her movements and expressions are much more exaggerated and cartoony than almost everything else in the movie. I still love this film though lol

I'm bumping my Eve rating up half a star because of our discussions, and realizing just how much interesting depth and scope there is to it.

Yea it could be a lie, but she does in fact turn out to be a very good actress right? She must have some experience at it.

Dudes - Peter Buck plays on two songs far more significant than any of the ones covered in this episode: 1. "I Will Dare" by the Replacements 2. "Madonna of the Wasps" by Robyn Hitchcock The first is one of the best songs on the best album of one of the best bands ever. The second is a also great song, and the guitar part ranks with Peter Buck's very best. Also "In the Sun" is Joseph Arthur song, not a Michael Stipe / Coldplay co-authorship. And the original is far better than the cover version.

I ain't scared of you [expletive/redacted]. What's the deal with Windex? I tried spraying it in my hair and the wind still came and messed it all up... It had no effect at all. Kick it! This is just a peak at my new character. It's a mashup of stuff that turns out not being so good, but I still do it 'cause I just do what I do. Epilogue: Henry's new character died immediately after posting this. He is survived by all those who knew and loved him.

Yeah, I actually got most of my celeb trivia from a hole in the ground that somebody had covered with a rock, I guess to either keep people out or keep bugs in, but in either case I can now keep up with most of their references, except when Sean goes off on his supergeek rants about obscure bands.

And Gary Coleman worked as a security guard, but after his fall from grace unfortunately. And Carrot Top works as a team mascot for the unholy dark lord. I grew up in Richmond, VA where we get maybe one or two celebrity stories a year and when I went to LA it seemed like almost every radio news story had a celebrity involved. I always wonder how the boys/CBB-folks can possibly remember so many celeb/movie/show names, but I guess if you're inundated in that culture it sticks more. I smoked away most of my brain cells related to celebrity and movie references so I have to limp along trying to get all the references sometimes.

From now on, please put Shareef Abdur-Rahim on your plastic cups. I came perilously close to wasting my 1000th post on this, so maybe spell-check your cups more carefully in the future.

hi keith van horn, big fan. i always put your name on plastic cups at parties (it varies between you, vlade divac, and shareef adul-raheem). my question this week: how did you come up with your signature long sock look, and why did you continue to stick with it? did you hope to inspire a generation of white basketball players to wear knee length socks?

The only line I laughed at in that whole movie was Gandolfini saying of course his son was traumatized, because he saw his nude mom do a "V for victory" with her legs.
