Little Esther’s daddy is such a boss. Dude just wants to be involved in his daughters life even though he doesn’t hang out with dads anymore. And that’s cool because now he can just talk about his daughter with buddies without them talking about kids that’s aren’t dating the founders of Wendy’s. Ya done good big Esther.

I seriously threw my hands over my eyes and did just a little scream due to this shocking image and thought that my computer had been hacked by pranksters. I'm not upset, it was a good trick and you totally got me! I imagined the skull saying "hahaha, have a nice day" over and over and boy it chilled me to the bottom of my bones!

Sam was Patrick Dempsey's, I don't know, assistant? She worked at his office. Ithink it was the first scene where he brings Giselle to the office. I only know this because I was looking at imdb when her scene came on.

Oh man, what a ride! It feels like just yesterday I started this episode and laughed with joy, laughed with tears, laughed with surprise, and laughed with funny. I think I figured Esther out... She is like super humble! Little? Doesn't know how to do the show? But is actually a huge megastar and rocks the show in the socks region? Haha, yes! Have a great summer (please print this into your yearbook) (ps: i am not Henry's son, not graduating yet or ever, stop asking)

I wonder if we'll hear from a certain crustacean living under the sea, perhaps while talking about US President?!

Agreed! I love this idea. Focusing on one band is fun, but there are so many cool music-related things they could tackle going forward. And they could still devote a few episodes to specific bands if they want.

I was locked out of my office this morning, so was able to listen to the entire episode (v. funny) before work and then while I was at work the place where I was planning on buying new socks burnt down.

I forgot to watch it again but will try tonight. I remember a few Easter Eggs but had a thought there were more when I was watching. I should have taken notes. Ones I remember: The Belle Notte cafe (from the song in Lady and the Tramp) Paige O'Hara (the voice of Belle in the animated Beauty and the Beast) is in the cast. She played Angela (but I don't remember who that is). ETA: This site says Paige is in the soap opera Dempsey watches. Also Judy Kuhn (the voice of Pocahontas) plays the mom with many kids. So is Jodi Benson, Ariel from The Little Mermaid. She played Sam (again I don't remember the character). IMDB has a picture of Jodi's scene

Quick thoughts: This is the first time I've seen this, and I was impressed. At first, I didn't think I could take 2 hours of Giselle, but Amy Adams struck just the right tone that I found her downright charming and lovable. That character could have so easily been just a cloying heap of saccharine. I'd also been watching (and just finished) "Sharp Objects" on HBO, and its quite the contrast. I do so love Amy Adams! James Mardsen was also charming, though he'll always be Teddy to me. The music was fun and the performances were great, though I expected more songs. Also, how do you have Idina Menzel in a musical and not have her sing?! Maybe not to upstage Adams? Lots of lost opportunities there.
