Well, folks, I'm back. The foot is 99% healed and things are starting to turn around. I've missed you and look forward to sharing movies and conversation again. The BIG news is I'm flying to Wales this fall! My BFF lives there and it's our 50th birthdays this year so I'm going to mark the occasions with him. The trip coincides with the halfway point between our birthdays so celebrating won't lean too much in one direction or the other. Only staying a week this time but will do a bigger trip later. (I have friends in Scotland and Bulgaria and have a standing invite to visit them. MY BFF says if I go to Bulgaria I go alone. )

I was disappointed with the lack of discussion about pavement and other structural engineering miracles of our modern age, but nevertheless I did experience some enjoyment during the episode. I think we need to get Brett away from the Boys because they're having an obvious influence upon his demeanor. He's just cracking wise whenever he gosh darn pleases! And he ain't that bad at it, neither.

My next pick for this series is a film that I own on VHS but never got around into watching the whole thing! Now I'm righting that wrong as the movie will be: Dance with Me (1998) starring Vanessa Williams!

No, I am not leaving "of the Galaxy 2" off of the title, and yes this movie will not be released for a year, but look at this trailer: Guardians looks like it has the potential to be over the top insane fun ala later Fast & Furious moves/Crank. It has a werebear with a chain gun for fuck's sake! I hope this movie turns out as good as it looks in the trailer.

So I must admit this movie did make me laugh more than I thought. However, it starts off on one of the worst most illogical puns I have ever seen. The Country Bears are on their "Hiber Nation Tour." Get it? Hibernation is something bears do and it's a cross country tour the word nation is in it. Hiliarious. NO! That's not the joke. They are not on a "Hiber-nation" tour or a "Hiber'Nation'" no they are on a "Hiber (SPACE) Nation" tour. The word is no longer hibernation. It is now two words. That's not even true, it is only one word. Hiber is not a word. It means nothing. Without the quotes or hyphens it makes no goddamn sense. You could just use the proper word hibernation tour and it would make just as much sense because you'd say it same way as you'd say "hiber nation." I cannot abide by this horrible non-pun.

I have to say that the first time I went to Disneyland as a child (I was 6-ish) I loved the Bear Jamboree and went to go everyday we were at the park. Then again bears are my favourite animal so that could be why. My Dad call the Country Bear Jamboree "A good way to get dry from Splash Mountain" I'd like to imagine that MC Gainy slept with bear groupies and has a half bear child.

Austin show was a blast! So impressed with how fast paul moves around the venue. I figured they edited from question to question to kill any dead space, but they don’t need to. Paul was downstairs one moment then up in the balcony in seconds! Got to appreciate the hustle.

Yo La Tengo. Obviously, Adam and Scott aren't going to do a series on a band they haven't listened to in their formative years, but if either or both of them are Yo La Tengo fans, it'd be a good choice.

There has been a lot of Radiohead talk during the R.E.M. series. I could also see a limited series focusing on soundtracks, cast albums, or other compilations.
